Editorial policy
What you can rely on in these articles, and what you should still check yourself.

The reva Blog is written by the team that builds reva, a resale tool for sourcing and pricing second-hand items on Vinted, OLX and Allegro Lokalnie. We write about reselling in general, not only about our product. This page explains the rules every article follows, so you can judge how much weight to give what you read.
Facts about marketplaces
Fees, limits, buyer protection rules and payout times change often, and they differ by country. For every one of them we:
- read the marketplace's own page first: the help centre, price list, terms or seller fees page. Press and forums are used only to find where to look, never as the source of a number;
- record the exact value, the market it applies to and the date we read it. The date appears on the article as "checked" or in the sources list at the bottom;
- leave a fact out if we could not confirm it on an official page. If the answer is simply not published, we say so ("Vinted does not publish a separate Pro rate") instead of estimating.
When a platform has announced a change that has not taken effect yet, the article names the date. Vinted's updated Terms, effective in October 2026, are one example.
Fees shown on this blog are information, not a quote. The number that applies to your sale is the one the marketplace shows you at listing or checkout.
Examples and illustrations
Most articles use worked examples: "you buy a jacket for 80 zł, sell it for 150 zł…". These numbers are chosen to make the arithmetic clear. They are not measurements of the market.
Every chart or diagram built on example numbers carries the label "Illustrative example, not market data". A figure that shows real data names its source instead. We do not publish statistics about "resellers" or "the market" unless we can link to where they came from.
Comparisons with other tools
Comparison and "alternatives" pages describe competitor products using only what those companies state publicly: their websites, pricing pages, help centres and app store listings. Each comparison table shows the date it was checked.
- If we could not find a public statement about a feature, the table says "Not stated". It does not say "No".
- If a competitor does something better than reva, or supports a marketplace reva does not, the page says so.
- reva features are labelled by their real status: live, early access or in build.
Product pages and pricing change. If you are choosing a tool, confirm the details on the vendor's own site before you pay for anything.
Our interest
We build reva, and articles mention it where it is relevant to the problem being discussed. We try to make every article useful to someone who never signs up. The method for pricing an item, for example, works with a spreadsheet as well as with reva. Calls to action link to reva; there are no affiliate links to other products on this blog.
Tax and legal topics
Articles that touch on tax, reporting rules such as DAC7, or consumer rights give general information and link to the official source. They are not tax or legal advice. Your situation depends on your country, your volumes and whether you sell as a private person or a business, so check with the tax office or an adviser.
Updates and corrections
Every article shows the date it was last updated. We review fee and rules articles when a platform announces changes, and at least every few months.
If you find something wrong, such as an outdated fee, a broken rule or an unfair comparison, contact us through the reva site. We correct factual errors, update the date, and do not quietly change what a comparison concluded.
How articles are produced
Each article goes through the same steps before it is published:
- Research: marketplace and competitor facts are collected with sources and dates.
- Writing: the draft follows the facts file, not memory.
- Editing: clarity, structure, and removal of filler and repetition.
- Fact check: every number, rule and product claim is compared with its source again, and anything unsupported is removed.
- Link and technical checks: links, page structure and page speed.
We use software, including AI writing tools, to help research, draft and check articles. Tools do not decide what counts as a fact: every claim has to match a source or be clearly marked as an example.
