How to use the marketplace fee calculator

Every preset uses the same arithmetic:

A preset fills in only Percentage fee and Fixed fee per order. It doesn't change Currency, and Custom keeps whatever is in the boxes, so overwrite both. The dropdown's eBay US, Depop, Grailed, Mercari and Vestiaire presets aren't covered here; each note names its source.

• eBay: enter the buyer's total, postage included. eBay's fee pages charge the percentage on the "total sale", which the UK business page defines as item price plus postage and taxes.
• Tiered per-order fees: presets use the higher fixed fee. For an eBay.pl order under 50 zł, change 1.35 to 0.25.
• Buyer-paid fees: leave them out; they are not deducted from your payout.

Compare on Effective fee rate, which folds in the fixed fee. Example: a 60 zł eBay.pl order pays 7.95 zł, or 13.25% (the calculator rounds it to 13.2%).

The fees are set by the marketplace; the sale price is your guess. To subtract what you paid, use the resale profit calculator or the complete resale profit guide.

Seller-paid vs buyer-paid fees

A seller-paid fee comes out of your payout or your bill. A buyer-paid fee leaves your payout alone but raises the buyer's total, which matters when the same item is cheaper elsewhere. More in how buyer protection fees work.

Vinted by country

Vinted's PL, UK, FR and DE price lists show no seller commission. Bump and Showcase are optional, so the Vinted — private seller preset is 0% + 0.

The buyer pays Buyer Protection, usually 5% + 2.90 zł in Poland, 5% + €0.70 in France and Germany, and 3% to 8% + £0.30 to £0.80 in the UK; the exact fee shows at checkout. Other countries are in Vinted fees by country.

Allegro Lokalnie and Allegro

From Allegro's Lokalnie fee page:

• Kup teraz and auctions: 7.9% of item value; 4.9% in Elektronika.
• Local listings: 0 zł: set both fee boxes to 0.
• When charged: only once the buyer pays within 72 hours or fills in the delivery form; refunded if you refund through Allegro.

Allegro itself has no preset: commission is a net range per category (Elektronika 2.5–8%), charged on item price plus delivery. Choose Custom, type your category's rate and enter price plus delivery. "Net" means before VAT, and the pages we read don't say how VAT appears on your bill; if it is added, you pay more than the calculator shows. OLX: what can and cannot be calculated

OLX documents how its fees work, not the amounts:

Decision rule: if the listing fits a free limit, you use no package, pay-if-sold option or promotion, and the buyer pays Pakiet Ochronny, set both fee boxes to 0. For pay-if-sold, type the rate OLX gives you into Custom and enter the gross item price without delivery. Free limits by category are in OLX fees and listing limits.

eBay UK, Germany and Poland

The UK business preset is an 11.9% final value fee plus a 0.35% regulatory operating fee; UK-based private sellers pay neither. The UK private preset note says "since 1 Oct 2024", but that is the "last updated" date on eBay's private fees page; the official pages we read don't state when free selling began. eBay UK fees explains the private/business split.

Fee sources and last-checked dates

All pages were checked on 13 September 2026. "Last updated" is the date each page shows: "none" means the page shows no date, "not recorded" means we did not note one.

Using fees to choose a marketplace

A lower fee only wins if your price holds. Compare payouts first:

Then turn the gap into a price. Example: Vinted pays 23.35 zł more here, so a Vinted price of 176.65 zł still matches eBay.pl's payout; at the usual 5% + 2.90 zł, that buyer pays about 188.38 zł before shipping. • Run one sale price through every preset you can use and compare "You receive".
• On OLX, get the rate from OLX first: a missing rate is not zero.
