Vinted Fees by Country: What Sellers and Buyers Pay

Official price lists compared, with the October 2026 'Vinted fee' rename explained.

Vinted buyer fee formulas compared across eleven countries
Key takeaways
  • Vinted's price lists for Poland, the UK, France and Germany have no seller commission; sellers pay only if they buy a Bump or Showcase.
  • In Poland the usual buyer fee is 5% + 2.90 zł: for example, a 100 zł item costs the buyer 107.90 zł before shipping.
  • The UK is the only market in the table with a range (3–8% + £0.30–£0.80); the other ten usually charge 5% plus a fixed local amount, on price lists dated 8 or 15 September 2025.
  • Because 2.90 zł is fixed, the Polish fee weighs most on cheap items: for example, it adds 10.8% at 50 zł and about 6% at 300 zł.
  • New Vinted Terms take effect on 5 Oct 2026 (DE/FR) and 8 Oct 2026 (UK/PL); press reports the buyer charge is renamed "Vinted fee".

Vinted fees are paid by the buyer, not the seller. At the time of writing (September 2026), none of Vinted's price lists for Poland, the UK, France or Germany has a seller commission. Instead, each "Buy now" order carries a Buyer Protection fee, usually 5% + 2.90 zł in Poland and 5% + €0.70 in France and Germany. You pay Vinted only if you choose a Bump or Showcase.

Below: formulas and price-list dates for 11 countries, worked examples in zł and £, optional extras and the October 2026 Terms. For the rest of selling, see the Vinted reseller guide.

Do sellers pay anything on Vinted?

Vinted's UK platform page says: "Selling on Vinted is free… Optional paid services are available… but are not mandatory." The UK, Polish, French and German price lists, checked 13 Sept 2026, list only two seller-side charges, Bump and Showcase: no commission, no listing fee.

Vinted's UK Pro page says the same for Pro sellers ("Selling doesn't cost you a cent!"), though Pro isn't open in Poland or Germany.

Rule: if you sell privately, nothing is deducted from your price; you keep it minus your own costs and any promotion you buy.

Vinted fees by country: the buyer-paid fee

Every price list quotes prices with VAT and a "usual" rate. The fee varies with "item characteristics, order value, order type (a single item versus a bundle)", and the exact amount appears at checkout. The buyer protection fee glossary entry compares this model with other platforms.

Outside the UK only the fixed part differs, and every list is dated September 2025. The US is left out because its pages conflict: the 2024 price list says "5% of the item price… not including the shipping costs", the help page "usually 5% + $0.70".

Poland: 5% + 2.90 zł explained

The Polish price list, updated 15.09.2025, says "zwykle jest to 5% + 2,90 zł": usually 5% plus 2.90 zł. That line doesn't mention shipping, so the examples apply 5% to the item price only.

buyer fee (PL, usual) = item price × 5% + 2.90 zł buyer pays before shipping = item price + buyer fee commission from item price = none on the price list
Example: a 100 zł item on Vinted Poland
Buyer pays before shipping107.9 zł
  • Item price you set100 zł
  • 5% of item price5 zł
  • Fixed part2.9 zł

UK: why only a range is published

The UK price list, updated 08-09-2025, says the fee is "usually 3% to 8% + £0.3 to £0.8". It doesn't say which items land where, so you get a band, not a figure.

The band widens with price, so compare UK listings on item price, not on an estimated total.

Optional seller costs: Bump and Showcase

Bump Showcase (formerly Wardrobe Spotlight)
Length 3 or 7 days, "or until the item sells" 7 consecutive days
Price depends on Item price and duration; PL and FR lists add domestic or international reach "how many listings you have and their value"
Published price None, shown at payment None, shown at checkout

Third-party blog prices can't be confirmed officially, so none appear here. Break-even maths is in is a Vinted bump worth it.

Optional buyer services: Item and Electronics Verification

Service UK France / Germany Poland
Item Verification (authenticity) £10 per item €10 per item 45 zł
Electronics Verification £5 per item €5 per item 20 zł

In all four markets it "consists of a verification service fee and shipping costs from the Seller to the hub".

Example: a Polish buyer adding Item Verification to a 150 zł bag usually pays 10.40 zł buyer fee plus 45 zł: 55.40 zł on top, about 37% of the price. How verification works and who pays for it is covered in Vinted item verification.

Currency conversion

Vinted's UK Terms (version 30-04-2026) say the payment processor charges a currency conversion fee of "either 1.2% or 3% of the Item price" where the service is offered. They don't say which countries get which rate. Example: on a €40 item that is €0.48 or €1.20. Conversion, payout and shipping for sales between countries are covered in selling across Vinted countries.

October 2026: Buyer Protection fee renamed "Vinted fee"

Vinted's Terms pages announce an update from 5 October 2026 in Germany and France and 8 October 2026 in the UK and Poland. Value Added Resource's press reports (5 and 7 Sept 2026) describe changes not yet checkable against live Terms:

  • The Buyer Protection fee is renamed "Vinted fee" and described as contributing to "the cost of operating the site".
  • In the EU, Vinted Balance moves from Mangopay to Vinted Pay. Users who do not accept the new Terms can no longer use Vinted.

A rename alone is not a price change. After your country's date:

  • Compare your country's /pricelist formula and date with the table above
  • If the rate changed, redo the examples for your usual prices
  • Look for the "Vinted fee" line at checkout
  • EU: check your balance after the reported move to Vinted Pay
  • Expect to accept the new Terms: press reports you can't keep using Vinted otherwise

How the buyer fee affects your pricing

The fee changes the buyer's total, not what you receive.

  • Vinted against Vinted: compare item prices. Outside the UK, one country's listings share the usual formula, so a lower price means a lower total.
  • Vinted against OLX or Allegro Lokalnie: the Vinted, OLX and Allegro Lokalnie fee comparison separates fees on top of your price from commission taken out of it, in zł.
  • Round totals: to keep the buyer's total under a round figure, work backwards.
highest item price (PL) = (target total − 2.90 zł) ÷ 1.05

For comps and condition, see how to price items on Vinted. The marketplace fee calculator sets Vinted's seller fee to 0%, so it shows what you receive; add the buyer fee yourself for the total.

Frequently asked questions

Does Vinted charge sellers in Poland?
Not for selling itself. Vinted's Polish price list, checked 13 September 2026, has no commission line, so nothing is deducted from the price you set. The Buyer Protection fee and optional Item Verification (45 zł) are paid by the buyer. Your only possible Vinted costs are a Bump or Showcase, priced at checkout. Vinted Pro is not open to Polish businesses at the time of writing.
How much is the Vinted buyer fee?
It depends on the country. Most price lists give a usual rate of 5% of the item price plus a fixed amount: €0.70 in euro markets, 2.90 zł in Poland. For example, on a €20 item in France the usual fee is €1 + €0.70 = €1.70. The UK list gives only a range, 3–8% plus £0.30–£0.80. Prices include VAT, and checkout shows the exact amount.
What is the new Vinted fee from October 2026?
Value Added Resource reported in September 2026 that Vinted's updated Terms rename the Buyer Protection fee "Vinted fee". The Terms take effect on 5 October 2026 in Germany and France and on 8 October 2026 in the UK and Poland. A new name does not by itself mean a new rate, so compare your country's price list with the old formula after that date.
Does Vinted Pro have different fees?
Not on the seller side: Vinted's UK Pro page says selling costs Pro sellers nothing. Buyers of Pro items pay a Buyer Protection Pro fee; the UK and German price lists give it no separate rate. The cover differs: it handles lost or damaged items, not items significantly not as described. Pro is open in eight countries, not Germany or Poland.
