Is a Vinted Bump Worth It?
Bump and Showcase rules, and a break-even check before you pay.

- Vinted publishes no Bump or Showcase price; you see it only at checkout, so every decision is that price against your own profit per item.
- Break-even share = Bump price ÷ profit per item. In the example, a 6 zł Bump on a 40 zł profit means 3 in every 20 bumped items must sell only because of the Bump.
- A Bump lasts 3 or 7 days or until the item sells, one per item at a time, and during it you can lower the price but not raise it.
- If a listing gets favourites but no offers, cut one price level instead: a cut costs you only when the item sells, a Bump is paid either way.
A Vinted Bump is worth it only when the extra profit it brings beats the price shown at checkout. Vinted doesn't publish that price, so no fixed answer exists. Divide the checkout price by your profit on the item, then judge whether the Bump will cause that share of extra sales.
Vinted rules below were checked on 13 September 2026. All zł amounts are examples, not Vinted prices.
How bumps work
Vinted's "Our platform" page says a Bump "temporarily affects an item's ranking in feeds and search results". Its weight is not published (how the Vinted algorithm ranks listings). Vinted's UK help page adds:
- one Bump per item at a time;
- it lasts 3 or 7 days, "or until the item sells";
- the item is shown "in your registered country";
- you can lower the price during a Bump but not raise it, and the Bump cost stays the same.
Decision rule: set the price before you pay, because a Bump locks your ceiling.
3 or 7 days, domestic or international
The price depends on the item's price and the duration. The Polish and French price lists add reach: "zasięgu (krajowego lub międzynarodowego)", domestic or international. The fee appears only at payment; other charges are on Vinted fees by country.
- 3 days when the listing already gets views.
- 7 days only if the 7-day price still passes the break-even check below.
- International only if buyers abroad are plausible.
Showcase: 7 days, 5+ listings, up to 15 shown
Showcase (formerly Wardrobe Spotlight) promotes your wardrobe, not one item. It runs 7 consecutive days, needs at least 5 listed items, and shows "up to 15 listings" a buyer is most likely to buy. The price "depends on how many listings you have and their value". A "£0.99 a day" figure on third-party blogs is not confirmed by Vinted.
Decision rule: Showcase pays if extra sales that week × average profit exceed its price.

Your own row, before each Bump:

|---|---|---|---|
| price ÷ profit | share × 10 |
Add every Bump to your hidden costs of reselling checklist.
When a price cut beats a bump
A cut costs you only if the item sells; a Bump is paid either way.
| What the listing shows | First move |
|---|---|
| Few views; category, brand and photos checked | Bump, 3 days |
| Views, few favourites | Fix first photo or price |
| Favourites, no offers | Cut one price level |
| Offers below your floor | Counter at the floor |
Decision rule: if your next markdown step is smaller than the Bump price and the item already gets seen, cut. Step sizes are in when to lower your price; the full diagnosis is in why your Vinted items aren't selling.
A simple bump test
Skip tools that delete and re-post listings; Vinted's automation and relisting rules explain why. Test the paid feature:
- Pair comparable items: same category, similar price and listing age
- Bump one per pair, and edit neither during the Bump
- Log Bump price, views, favourites and sales during the Bump
- After 10 pairs, subtract unbumped sales from bumped sales
- Compare the result with 10 × your break-even share
Vinted's updated Terms take effect on 5 October 2026 in Germany and France and on 8 October 2026 in the UK, US and Poland; press coverage reports the Buyer Protection fee becomes the "Vinted fee". Re-read the Bump and Showcase help pages after those dates. More in the Vinted reseller guide.
