Chrono24 Fees for Watch Sellers
Free to list, 6.5% when it sells, and a different model entirely once you become a dealer.

- Chrono24 charges private sellers a 6.5% commission only after a sale — listing is completely free.
- The commission is deducted from the escrow payment; if the buyer pays you directly, you receive an invoice payable within 14 days.
- Escrow payouts are processed within 7 days of delivery, so you get your money about a week after the buyer receives the watch.
- Dealer packages start at €199 per month for 25 listings, going up to €2,199 for 1,000 — but dealer commission rates are not publicly published.
- Chrono24 reports sellers under DAC7 if they have 30+ transactions or €2,000+ in sales per year.
Chrono24 is the largest dedicated watch marketplace, and for private sellers the fee structure is simple: list for free, pay 6.5% only when the watch sells. Below is the full cost path for a private seller in Poland, from listing to payout, plus the dealer option if you scale up.
This page covers the fees a private seller pays. For a full comparison of fees across platforms, see the resale profit guide. For how to price a watch, see the watch resale guide.
Chrono24 fees at a glance
If you sell enough watches, Chrono24 reports your sales under DAC7 — for more on what that means, see the DAC7 for resellers guide.
| Fee type | Amount | When paid | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Listing | Free | Never | |
| Commission | 6.5% of sale price | After sale, from escrow or invoice | |
| Payout method | Escrow (default) | Within 7 days of delivery | |
| DAC7 reporting | 30+ transactions or €2,000+/year | Annual platform report |
The 6.5% commission is the only fee a private seller pays. There is no listing fee, no monthly fee, and no fee if your watch does not sell.
How the commission is collected
Chrono24 offers two payment paths:
Escrow (default): The buyer pays Chrono24 first. Once you ship the watch and the buyer confirms delivery, Chrono24 releases the money to you minus the 6.5% commission. This is the standard path and the safest for both sides.
Direct payment: If you and the buyer arrange payment outside Chrono24's escrow, the platform still charges the commission. In this case, Chrono24 sends you an invoice payable within 14 days of the sale.
Both paths result in the same 6.5% cost — the difference is timing and whether the money flows through Chrono24 first.
Payout timing
When using escrow, Chrono24 pays out within 7 days of the watch being delivered to the buyer. The commission is deducted before the payout reaches you.
- 1List for freeYour listing is live with no upfront cost
- 2Buyer pays into escrowMoney held by Chrono24
- 3Ship insuredYou send the watch with tracking
- 4Delivery confirmedBuyer confirms receipt
- 5Payout minus 6.5%Within 7 days of delivery
If the buyer pays you directly, you lose the escrow protection and must pay the commission invoice within 14 days.
When to consider dealer packages
If you sell watches regularly and want to list more than a handful, Chrono24 offers dealer packages with monthly pricing:
These packages are optional. Private sellers have no listing limit, and the 6.5% commission applies regardless of volume.
The dealer packages above were announced in September 2024. If you are considering moving from private to dealer selling, check the current Chrono24 dealer page for up-to-date pricing.
DAC7 reporting on Chrono24
If you sell 30 or more watches or earn €2,000 or more in total sales on Chrono24 in a calendar year, the platform reports your activity to your EU tax authority under DAC7. This does not mean you owe tax — it is an information report. Whether you owe tax depends on your total income and local rules.
A worked sale from Poland
Say you buy a used Omega Seamaster for 8,000 zł and sell it on Chrono24 for the same price. The 6.5% commission (520 zł) is deducted from the escrow payout, leaving 7,480 zł before you account for shipping or insurance.

- 6.5% commission520 zł
- Your payout (before shipping/insurance)7,480 zł
If you ship insured internationally, add that cost to calculate your actual profit.
