OLX Delivery and Pakiet Ochronny: What Sellers Need to Know

How OLX delivery for sellers works with Płatności OLX

Under §10–11 of the Terms, OLX delivery works only with Płatności OLX, where the buyer pays up front: one flow, not two options. Parcels are organised through Alsendo sp. z o.o., with carrier liability covered in Annex 9.

OLX is not a party to your sale, and its Terms (§2.5) say consumer-protection rules don't apply between consumers. Who pays Pakiet Ochronny, and when it isn't charged

The buyer pays. The Terms (definitions 30 and 34, §11.4) add "Wynagrodzenie za Pakiet Ochronny" to the item price as a separate line, at an amount "indicated in the listing each time". No fixed amount or percentage appears in the Terms, Annex 8 or the price list page read for this article.

Decision rule: if you and the buyer agree payment or delivery outside OLX, for example cash on pickup, no Pakiet Ochronny is charged (§11.4), and none of the claim rules below apply.

Seller deadlines: confirm, ship, respond

The shipping clock starts when you accept, not when the buyer orders: pack first, then confirm, and you keep all 3 working days for the drop-off.

The third clock only runs if something goes wrong: once a claim is filed, you have 120 hours to respond (Annex 8). OLX can also give the buyer at least 48 hours for extra evidence, or 120 hours for a police report if it asks for one. Send your photos and drop-off proof on day one.

When OLX releases your money

Under §11.7 of the Terms, OLX orders the payout to you in one of two cases:

"Orders the payout" is not "money in your account". How long the transfer takes after that is not stated in the documents read for this page.

Three things can hold or reduce it:

• A claim filed inside the 48 hours means the no-claim trigger doesn't apply; the outcome turns on OLX's decision.
• Missing DAC7 data: if you don't give it within 60 days after at least 2 reminders, OLX withholds payouts (Terms).
• "Zapłać, jeśli sprzedasz" (pay if you sell): on this commission model the fee is deducted from the payout once the buyer collects the item (Annex 6). The rate is not published; OLX listing limits and unpublished amounts lists what OLX shows only in-app.

Because OLX orders the payout itself, a message asking you to click a link to "receive" money doesn't fit this flow; see scams that target OLX and Allegro Lokalnie sellers.

What a buyer can claim and what isn't covered

Pakiet Ochronny covers every order sent with Przesyłka OLX (Annex 8 and OLX's help page). The test is whether the item matches your listing: its title, description and photos.

Read the left column as a list of listing mistakes: a size copied from the label instead of measured, a scratch left out of the photos, "new" on an item you tried on.

Automatic refunds and how to avoid them

§11.8 of the Terms lists four cases where the buyer is refunded automatically:

Decision rule: if an item is listed on another marketplace too, remove it there before you confirm the OLX order. A double sale leaves you choosing which buyer gets an automatic refund.

Protecting yourself: photos, packing, proof

Build your claim evidence before the parcel leaves, one item per covered claim:

• Photograph every flaw and put it in the listing photos, not just the description
• Measure clothes and furniture and write the measurements in the listing
• Use "new" only for unused items with no signs of wear
• List every part of a set and photograph it laid out before packing
• Photograph the item going into the box and the sealed parcel, against an "empty parcel" claim
• Keep the carrier's drop-off confirmation until the money reaches your account
