Vinted Holiday Mode: Pause Your Wardrobe the Right Way
Up to 90 days hidden, one toggle, and three things it does not do for you: ship old orders, extend Bumps or keep Showcase running.

- Vinted holiday mode hides every listing for up to 90 days and can be switched on or off at any time (Vinted help, checked 14 Sept 2026).
- It does not cover orders already placed: the usual 5 business days to ship still applies, with 3 or 5 extra days available on request.
- Holiday mode does not extend a Bump or Showcase you've already bought — buying one right before leaving usually wastes paid days.
- Vinted's terms ban bulk delete-and-relist, so hiding listings through holiday mode is the sanctioned way to pause, not deleting your wardrobe.
Vinted's holiday mode hides every one of your listings for up to 90 days while you're away, and you can switch it on or off whenever you like. It doesn't touch orders you've already accepted, and it doesn't stretch a Bump or Showcase you've already paid for. This page covers what holiday mode actually does, how to turn it on, and what to do about open orders and promotions before you leave.
What holiday mode does
Vinted's help centre describes holiday mode plainly: it lets you hide all your listings for up to 90 days, and you can turn it on or off at any time. In Poland the same feature is called Tryb wakacyjny, with the same description — hiding every active listing for up to 90 days without extending paid promotions. For everything else about running a Vinted shop, see the Vinted reseller guide.
How to turn it on and off
On the app: open your profile, tap Holiday mode and toggle "Hide my items." On the web: open Account settings, toggle "Holiday mode" and save. Menu wording can shift slightly between app versions and languages, so if you don't see the exact label, look for "holiday" or "hide my items" rather than an exact phrase.

Turning it back on later takes the same two taps or clicks — Vinted's help page doesn't mention any cooldown or limit on how many times you can toggle it.
Orders placed before you switch it on
Holiday mode's help page says nothing about orders you've already accepted, so treat every open order as still yours to ship. Vinted's rules give you 5 business days to send an item, and you can ask the buyer, through the order conversation, for 3 or 5 extra days. If there's no tracking update in that window, Vinted cancels the order the next business day, refunds the buyer, and your account can take a hit through feedback. You can also cancel the order yourself instead of shipping it. Either way, ship or cancel before you go quiet — holiday mode does not do that for you. For shipping deadlines across marketplaces, see marketplace shipping rules.

Bumps, Showcase and holiday mode
Holiday mode hides your listings, but it doesn't pause the clock on anything you've already paid for: a Bump or a Showcase you bought keeps running and expiring on its own schedule, hidden or not. Buying either right before you leave usually just burns paid days while nobody can see the listing. If Showcase is on your mind for when you're back, is Vinted Showcase worth it works through when it actually pays off.
Holiday mode instead of deleting listings
Vinted's terms don't allow deleting and relisting items in bulk, so treat holiday mode as the sanctioned pause button rather than clearing your wardrobe and starting over. Hiding keeps your listings and their history intact instead of deleting them; what happens to saved favourites or search ranking while a listing is hidden isn't documented, so don't promise buyers anything about that. Sellers who lean on delete-and-relist tricks to stay visible risk more than a quiet week — what gets a Vinted account restricted covers the habits worth avoiding. If pausing keeps happening because reselling competes with a day job, reselling around a full-time job has ways to make the two fit together.
Coming back: what to check before switching off
Switching holiday mode off is the easy part — the toggle is the same one you used to turn it on. What takes longer is catching up on everything that happened while your wardrobe was hidden: messages don't stop arriving just because your listings did, and a price that looked right a month ago might not still be. Give yourself a few minutes before you flip the switch back rather than doing it the moment you land.
- Ship or cancel anything that's somehow still open
- Re-read unanswered messages before buyers chase you again
- Switch holiday mode off in Profile (app) or Account settings (web)
- Check whether comparable items sold or left the market while you were away
- Reconsider prices on anything that's been listed a while, rather than assuming they still hold
- Only then think about buying a new Bump or Showcase
None of this is urgent the same day, but working through it in order matters: an unread question about an item's condition, answered a day late, often costs more goodwill than a stale price does. If a listing has sat untouched for weeks before your trip and still hasn't moved once it's visible again, that's a signal worth acting on rather than leaving it exactly as it was when you left.
