What actually differs for a seller

The practical differences come down to four things: size and weight limits, where you can drop off a parcel, how long a returned parcel waits for collection, and which marketplaces accept each carrier.

Both carriers publish their own sizes, weights and direct sender prices. Marketplace checkout prices are usually lower than either carrier's direct price, because platforms negotiate bulk rates. Sizes and weight

Orlen Paczka offers three size classes, all with a 20 kg weight limit:

InPost's Paczkomat lockers use a comparable A/B/C scale, slightly deeper and with a higher weight cap:

All three InPost classes accept parcels up to 25 kg, 5 kg more than Orlen Paczka's 20 kg cap. These are each carrier's own direct sender price as of 14 September 2026 — what you pay creating a shipment straight through the carrier's own site or app. Marketplace checkout prices are typically lower: Allegro Lokalnie's negotiated InPost rate is 10.95 zł, well under InPost's own 16.99 zł for the same small size.

Drop-off points

Orlen Paczka lets you drop off at three types of locations:

• Parcel lockers (automaty paczkowe)
• ORLEN fuel stations across Poland
• Partner pickup points at various retail locations

InPost's main drop-off channel is its own nationwide network of Paczkomat lockers. Both carriers run large locker networks; Orlen's fuel-station option is a practical backup when a locker nearby is full or out of service. For the full picture across platforms, see our marketplace shipping rules.

Pickup windows for returned parcels

Two separate rules apply here, and they answer different questions — do not treat them as the same window.

For an ordinary parcel, Orlen Paczka's own FAQ gives the recipient 3 business days from the first SMS or e-mail with the pickup code before it is returned to the sender.

For a parcel returned specifically under OLX's Pakiet Ochronny (an accepted buyer claim sent back to the seller), OLX's own rules set a shorter, carrier-specific pickup window:

These two rules should not be averaged or compared as if they measured the same thing: one is OLX's return-process SLA, the other is Orlen's general collection window.

Which carrier each marketplace offers

Different marketplaces work with different carriers:

• Allegro Lokalnie: offers Allegro Paczkomaty InPost (10.95 zł) and Allegro One Box (10.49 zł). Allegro Smart! on Lokalnie works only with these two options. Orlen Paczka is not offered on Allegro Lokalnie. See our Allegro Lokalnie guide for the full picture.

• Vinted: Orlen Paczka's own FAQ confirms its lockers can carry Vinted parcels with a printed label. Vinted's checkout screen shows the full carrier list for each listing, which can include other options — check it before you promise a buyer a specific carrier.

How to choose per item

Pick your carrier based on three factors:

1. Item size — small and medium items fit either network's S/M or A/B classes. For the largest parcels, InPost's Gabaryt C (up to 25 kg) has more headroom than Orlen's L class (up to 20 kg), though Orlen's own direct price stays cheaper at every matching size.
2. Buyer location — check which drop-off points are convenient for your buyer. ORLEN fuel stations can be a useful backup outside major cities where lockers are sparser.
3. Marketplace — on Allegro Lokalnie, InPost is the only parcel-locker option available. On Vinted, Orlen Paczka works with a printed label; confirm the full carrier list shown at your own checkout.
