Vinted Bump vs Showcase vs a Price Drop
Four levers for a listing that is not moving, compared on what they change, what they cost and the situation each one fits.

- A Bump temporarily affects one item's ranking for 3 or 7 days; Showcase promotes up to 15 listings for 7 days; a price drop changes the value to buyers; holiday mode hides everything and costs nothing
- Bump and Showcase prices are not published — you see them only at checkout
- Vinted does not publicly confirm whether a price drop notifies members who favourited the item
- Use Bump when a priced-right item gets views but no offers; use Showcase only with 5+ fresh listings; use a price drop when the listing has favourites but no offers; use holiday mode when you step away
- Vinted's updated terms take effect 8 October 2026 in the UK and Poland — paid promotion details may change
When a Vinted listing goes stale, you have four tools to revive it: Bump one item, Showcase your wardrobe, lower the price, or pause with holiday mode. Each changes something different, costs differently, and works in different situations. This page maps them side by side so you pick the one that actually moves your listing. For a complete guide to selling on Vinted, see the Vinted reseller guide.
Four ways to move a stale listing
Before you pay for anything, diagnose why the listing is stuck:
- No views → the listing may be buried by price, poor photos, or wrong keywords. A paid Bump will not help an invisible listing.
- Views but no favourites → the item may be overpriced or the photos don't sell it. A price drop changes what buyers see.
- Favourites but no offers → the price is right but buyers are waiting. A Bump pushes it in front of more eyes.
- Going away for a while → holiday mode pauses everything without wasting paid promotion.
If you haven't diagnosed the problem, read why items stop selling on Vinted first — paid promotion on a broken listing burns money.

What each option actually changes
Bump temporarily affects one item's ranking in Vinted's feeds and search results. It lasts 3 or 7 days or until the item sells. You can lower the price during a Bump but not raise it. One Bump per item at a time.
Showcase (formerly Wardrobe Spotlight) highlights up to 15 of your listings in buyers' newsfeeds and search results for 7 consecutive days. It requires at least 5 listed items. The price depends on how many listings you have and their total value — Vinted shows it only at checkout.
A price drop changes the value proposition to every buyer who sees the listing. It costs nothing extra — you give up margin. Vinted's help pages don't say whether members who favourited the item get notified, so don't count on it.
Holiday mode hides all your listings from search and feeds for up to 90 days. It is free and you can switch it on or off any time. Crucially, holiday mode does not extend the duration of any purchased Bump or Showcase — the paid promotion runs its course while your closet is hidden.
Cost and duration side by side
| Bump | Showcase | Price drop | Holiday mode | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Scope | 1 item | up to 15 listings | 1 item | whole wardrobe hidden |
| Duration | 3 or 7 days, or until sold | 7 consecutive days | until you change it | up to 90 days |
| Cost | not published|shown at checkout | not published|shown at checkout | your margin only | free |
| What changes | temporary ranking boost | exposure in feed and search | value to buyers | nothing visible |
| Best for | priced-right item with views but no offers | 5+ fresh listings, strong wardrobe | items with favourites but no offers | stepping away |
Bump and Showcase prices depend on your item price, listing duration and (in some markets like Poland and France) domestic or international reach. Vinted publishes no fixed table — the only way to know the cost is to start the purchase flow.
Decision matrix: which to use when
The short version: many views but no offers means the price is the blocker — drop it. Few views on a fairly priced item means the listing is invisible — Bump it. Strong wardrobe with fresh listings — Showcase it. Going away — holiday mode.

Combining options without wasting money
You can run a price drop and a Bump at the same time — in fact, you can lower the price during an active Bump. What you cannot do is raise the price mid-Bump, so set your floor before buying.
One Bump per item at a time. If you buy a second Bump while one is active, Vinted extends the duration rather than stacking them.
Do not switch on holiday mode while a paid promotion is running. Holiday mode hides your listings from buyers but does not pause the Bump or Showcase clock — you pay for exposure that nobody sees. Turn holiday mode on only when no paid promotions are active.
Bundle discounts work differently from promotion tools. If you sell multi-item bundles, set those up in Vinted's bundle settings — they change how buyers see combined purchases, not how Vinted ranks your listings.
A two-week test plan
Week 1 — price only: look at the listing's views and favourites. If it has views but few favourites, the photos or description may be weak. If it has favourites but no offers, cut one price level on the price ladder. Record views, favourites and offers each day.
Week 2 — paid option: once you have a fair price, test one paid option. For example, for a single stuck item you might buy a 3-day Bump and compare the days before and after. For a strong wardrobe with 5+ fresh listings, try Showcase for 7 days. Record the same metrics.
Compare: did the paid option bring extra sales that wouldn't have happened anyway? If the item sold the week after a Bump but was already fairly priced, the Bump likely helped. If it sat for weeks and then moved after a price cut, the price was the problem.
The Vinted Bump worth it page has a break-even calculator — run your numbers through it before paying. For Showcase, Vinted shows stats on your profile while the promotion is active.
