EU, UK and US Sizes on Vinted: A Seller's Size Guide
Why the size you pick in the app is only half the story, what changed for women's sizes in 2025 and the two lines that stop size disputes.

- For women's fashion listings uploaded before 10 November 2025, Vinted now shows a wider range of letter sizes for the same UK number: UK 16 moved from XXL to L, and M now reads "M / UK 12-14" instead of "M / UK 10" (Vinted help, checked 14 Sept 2026).
- Vinted does not publish its own EU/UK/US size-conversion table — you pick the size from the category list that matches your garment's label.
- The exact tag text, a photo of the tag and a couple of measurements in centimetres protect a listing better than any conversion chart — and "incorrect size" is a reason for a Vinted claim, "doesn't fit" is not.
- Shoes and kids' clothes need their own approach: insole length for shoes, height alongside the age range for kids.
If a jacket says UK 12, EU 40 or US 8, which size do you actually pick on Vinted? There's no single official conversion chart to check against, and third-party charts often disagree with each other. This guide covers Vinted's November 2025 change to how women's sizes are displayed, why conversion charts don't line up, and what to put on the listing so buyers trust the size regardless of the label.
How Vinted shows sizes
On Vinted, the seller picks a size from a list when creating a listing, and buyers can filter search results by size. The size options come from the category you choose — Vinted doesn't publish its own EU/UK/US conversion table, so you select whichever option best matches what's on your item's label. For the rest of the listing workflow, see the Vinted reseller guide.
The November 2025 women's size update
Vinted's help centre confirms a size-display change for women's fashion. For listings uploaded before 10 November 2025, UK numeric sizes now map to a wider range of letter sizes than before: a UK 16 that used to show as XXL now shows as L, and a listing that used to read "M / UK 10" now reads "M / UK 12-14".
| Before the update | After the update | |
|---|---|---|
| UK 16 (women's fashion, listed before 10 Nov 2025) | XXL | L |
| Size M (women's fashion, listed before 10 Nov 2025) | M / UK 10 | M / UK 12-14 |
Vinted advises sellers to review their older active women's listings, add the exact size-tag details in the description and include a clear photo of the size tag — advice worth following whichever size system your item uses.
Why conversion charts disagree
Brands, eras and countries have never agreed on one sizing system, so a UK 12 from one label can measure like a UK 14 from another. Vinted does not publish its own EU/UK/US conversion table — the platform simply asks you to pick the size that matches what's on your garment's label. Each brand has its own size chart anyway, so the most reliable approach is your garment's own tag plus measurements in centimetres.
What to put in the listing instead
Skip the guesswork and give buyers what actually fits: the exact text from the garment's own size tag, a clear photo of that tag, and two or three key measurements in centimetres. This matches what Vinted itself asks sellers to do after the November update, and it works whether or not the size label on your item ever changed. For a garment-by-garment measuring method, see how to measure clothes for Vinted.

Getting the size wrong matters more than it might seem: "incorrect size" is one of the reasons a buyer can open a significantly-not-as-described claim on Vinted, while "doesn't fit" on its own is not. A description template with a measurements line keeps size information in the same place on every listing, and if a size dispute still happens, Vinted returns and disputes covers what happens next.
Shoes, kids' clothes and one-size items
Shoes: pick the size printed on the item, then add the insole length in centimetres if you can measure it — heel to toe, on the inside of the shoe. How a given size runs varies enough between brands and shoe types that the printed number alone isn't always reliable, and a buyer scrolling past several listings has no way to tell which brand runs small. See selling shoes on Vinted for the full method, including how to handle boxless pairs.
Kids' clothes: put the age range from the label together with the child's height in centimetres if it's printed on the tag, since children of the same age can vary in size more than an age label suggests, especially between brands aimed at different markets. A short note on how the item was worn — one season, hand-me-down, barely worn — helps more here than a size guess ever will. Reselling kids' clothes has more on pricing and condition for this category.
One-size and vintage pieces without a modern size tag: skip the debate over which size box to tick and lead with measurements instead — chest or bust, length and, for bottoms, waist and inseam, all flat and in centimetres. For anything without a tag you can trust, centimetres are the one number every buyer can check against a piece already hanging in their own wardrobe, and they cost you nothing extra to write down.
