Why private sellers are your sourcing channel

Anyone with an active allegro.pl account as a private person can sell on Allegro Lokalnie. Listings are free for most categories — the platform makes money when items sell. This pulls in sellers who just want items gone, not maximum profit. Auctions last seven days, and many end with winning bids well below market value simply because few people saw them.

Local listings (ogłoszenia lokalne) carry a 0 zł seller fee. These are often marked for personal pickup (odbiór osobisty), which means the seller prioritises buyers who can collect in person. Those listings frequently appear at lower prices than shipped items because the seller saves on delivery costs.

Auctions vs Kup teraz vs local listings

Kup teraz (buy now) sets a fixed price. The seller pays a 7.9% fee on the item value (4.9% for electronics), charged only if you pay within 72 hours or the seller fills in the delivery form. This is the fastest way to buy, but you pay the listed price.

Auctions run for seven days with a starting price you can bid against. Set your max bid before the last day — competing at the last minute usually means paying more than the item is worth. Auctions that end on weekday evenings often see lower final bids because fewer people are watching.

Local listings are free for the seller and usually require pickup. No delivery means no tracking, and paid in cash, these transactions sit outside Allegro Ochrona Kupujących. The price is often lowest, but the risk is yours alone.

Delivery cost on the buyer side

When you buy with shipping on Allegro Lokalnie, you pay the delivery yourself. Allegro Paczkomaty InPost costs 10.95 zł gross. Allegro One Box costs 10.49 zł. These prices are visible before you pay, so you can factor them into your total buy cost.

If you have Smart! and the seller has Smart!, Allegro covers your first six parcels per quarter. Without Smart!, or on orders under 45 zł (or under 49.90 zł if your Smart! was activated after 1 March 2026), you pay a flat 10.95 zł per shipment.

Your delivery cost adds directly to what you paid for the item. Combined with your selling fees on your target platform, it forms the total landed cost you must recover.

Set a max bid from your resale estimate

Before bidding, estimate what the item will sell for on your chosen platform (Vinted, OLX or another). Subtract your selling fee (typically 7.9% to 13% depending on category and platform), outbound shipping, and any costs like cleaning or minor repairs. Then subtract your minimum profit. What remains is your max bid — and you must also add the delivery you will pay as a buyer.

Say you estimate resale at 300 zł, have 25 zł in fees and shipping, and your target profit is 90 zł. That leaves 185 zł for your purchase. Then subtract the delivery you pay as buyer — say 10.95 zł — and your max bid comes to around 174 zł. This waterfall shows the math visually:

What buyer protection covers and what it does not

Allegro Ochrona Kupujących covers Kup teraz and auction purchases. You can file a non-delivery claim 14 days after placing your order. The compensation is not always 100% of the amount — the help page makes this clear, so check what the listing actually includes before paying.

Local pickup deals paid in cash are outside the protection. If you pay in person and the item is not as described, Allegro cannot intervene. Use caution on these deals: inspect the item on pickup or stick to shipped purchases where protection applies.

Checklist before you pay

Before completing any purchase on Allegro Lokalnie, run through these checks:

• Photos — Request additional photos if the listing shows only stock images. Ask for close-ups of any defects, labels or serial numbers.
• Questions — Message the seller about condition, usage history and why they are selling. Vague answers or no replies are a warning sign.
• Pickup test — For local deals, inspect the item before paying. Bring a phone charger to test electronics, check clothing for stains or damage.
• Price math — Run your max bid calculation before bidding. Never bid emotionally in the last minute.
