Vinted vs Allegro Lokalnie for Sellers in Poland

Who pays what: fees side by side

Vinted's Polish price list names no commission for the seller on a standard sale; the buyer covers the Buyer Protection fee instead. Allegro Lokalnie's local listings (ogłoszenia lokalne) are also free for the seller, but a Kup teraz (buy now) or auction sale costs 7.9% of the item value — 4.9% in the Elektronika category — and that fee is only charged once the buyer pays within 72 hours or fills in the delivery form; a refund through Allegro refunds the fee too. Vinted has also announced new Terms that take effect 8 October 2026 in Poland, the UK and the US (5 October in Germany and France); press reports say the Buyer Protection fee is being renamed the "Vinted fee" in those markets. Re-check the live Vinted pricelist after that date before quoting the 5% + 2,90 zł figure as current.

Delivery: Vinted labels vs Smart! on Lokalnie

Vinted's confirmed rule: the seller gets a prepaid, Vinted-generated label and 5 business days to ship, or the order cancels automatically. Allegro Lokalnie's delivery runs through two eligible carriers only — Allegro Paczkomaty InPost at 10.95 zł or Allegro One Box at 10.49 zł. Where it gets interesting is Allegro Smart!: if both the seller and the buyer have Smart!, Allegro itself pays for the first 6 parcels per quarter (5 for Smart! za darmo participants), with no rollover of unused parcels. A buyer without Smart!, or ordering under 45 zł (49.90 zł if their Smart! started after 1 March 2026), pays a flat 10.95 zł instead; once that pool of free parcels runs out, Smart! bez limitu sellers pay 4.99 zł per further free-Smart! sale.

Which categories sell better where

Vinted's optional Electronics Verification costs the buyer 20 zł (Item Verification for other categories is 45 zł) and exists to build trust on phones, tablets and similar small electronics — it doesn't extend to larger appliances. Allegro Lokalnie's 4.9% Elektronika commission (against 7.9% elsewhere) makes it the cheaper route for phones, laptops and small appliances sold Kup teraz, and local listings cost nothing at all for anything sold by pickup. Clothes, shoes and accessories still route to Vinted by default: no seller commission and a catalogue built for fashion sizing and condition labels.

Account rules: private sellers, business accounts and limits

Allegro Lokalnie listings can only be published from a private (regular) allegro.pl account; business accounts can buy on Lokalnie but not sell there. Vinted draws a similar line without a business tier in Poland at all: Pro is available in Italy, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg, Belgium and the UK, but Vinted's Polish help page says Pro isn't open to Polish businesses, so a standard personal account is the only route either way. If you sell on both Allegro and Allegro Lokalnie, check Allegro's own tax help pages for your account rather than assuming Lokalnie sales are treated separately from Allegro proper. Neither platform's help pages set a hard cap on how many items a private seller can list in a given month — the limits that show up in practice are the account-type rules above, not a stated quota. Say you sell casually across both categories: a private allegro.pl account still lets you run Lokalnie listings alongside a personal Vinted profile without upgrading either one, as long as you stay a private seller rather than a registered business on either platform.

The same 80 zł item on both platforms

Say you're selling something for 80 zł. On Allegro Lokalnie with Kup teraz, the 7.9% commission comes to 6.32 zł, so the seller ends up with 73.68 zł of the 80 zł the buyer paid. On Vinted, the seller keeps the full 80 zł — the price list names no seller commission — and the buyer pays extra on top for Buyer Protection, usually 5% + 2,90 zł.

Listing on both without double sales

Neither platform's rules ban listing the same item on Vinted and Allegro Lokalnie at once, but neither gives you a grace period once one sells — pull the other listing down immediately or risk a support conversation over a sold item. Since Lokalnie's fee only triggers on Kup teraz or auction sales, a local-pickup Lokalnie listing alongside a parcel-shipped Vinted one is often the cheapest combination for an item that could sell either way. In practice that means checking both apps before you answer a message, not after: a Lokalnie buyer who wants Kup teraz and a Vinted buyer who's already added the item to their bag can land within minutes of each other, and only one of them gets the item. Photograph the item once, keep the same condition notes on both listings, and treat whichever platform confirms payment first as the one that wins the sale.
