How to Price Bundles and Lots

Move more items per buyer without giving away margin.

Key takeaways
  • Give each item a floor (cost plus the smallest profit you accept) before setting any discount. A bundle below the sum of floors loses money however many items it moves.
  • On fresh stock, stop the discount where each item reaches its fast-sell level. Only stalled stock goes down to the floor.
  • On Vinted the buyer pays shipping, so the parcel saving is already theirs and your discount comes on top. Pro sellers can sell bundles but cannot set bundle discounts.
  • A Vinted set listing holds up to 5 items that can't also be listed separately; an OLX listing must say whether it is a single item, multiple units or a set.

To price a bundle or lot, give every item in it a floor: what you paid plus the smallest profit you accept. The sum of floors, plus packaging and fees, is the lowest price the bundle can take. On fresh stock, stop discounting where each item reaches its fast-sell level.

Marketplace rules below were checked on 13 September 2026; other numbers are examples.

When bundles help and when they hurt

  • If a buyer is already on your profile, a discount can turn one sale into two or three.
  • If each item would sell alone in your normal time, a discount just gives margin away.
  • If an item is worth less than the effort of posting it, put it in a bundle or lot.
  • If one strong item would carry weak ones, sell it alone.

How to price bundles and lots: shipping saved and per-item floors

per-item floor = buy cost + extra costs + minimum profit bundle floor = (sum of floors + packaging you pay) ÷ (1 − fee rate)

Vinted's price lists for the UK, France, Germany and Poland show no seller commission, so the fee rate there is 0. Its shipping help page says "the buyer pays for shipping", so the saving from one parcel instead of three already goes to the buyer. Your discount sits on top.

Example (Vinted, personal account): three T-shirts bought for 12 zł each, fair value 40 zł, fast sell 34 zł. Minimum profit 15 zł a shirt, packaging 3 zł a parcel.

Example Three singles Bundle of 3, 15% off
Item prices paid by the buyer 120 zł 102 zł
Parcels the buyer pays shipping on 3 1
Packaging you pay 9 zł 3 zł
Your profit after the 36 zł cost 75 zł 63 zł

The floor is 3 × 27 zł + 3 zł = 84 zł (30% off at most). The fast-sell cap is 3 × 34 zł = 102 zł (15%).

Price per shirt inside the bundle, by discount
No discount40 zł
10% off36 zł
15% off34 zł
20% off32 zł
25% off30 zł
30% off28 zł
Example only. 34 zł is the fast-sell cap for fresh stock; 28 zł is the floor for stalled stock.Illustrative example, not market data

Decision rule: fresh stock stops at the fast-sell cap; only stalled stock goes to the floor. The levels are explained in the price ladder, and single-item headroom in pricing for offers.

Vinted bundle rules for sellers

Buyer bundles are several of your listings bought in one order. Vinted's "Buying a bundle" page allows up to 100 items per order and says "Standard sellers may offer a discount based on the number of items you buy". The Buyer Protection fee and shipping are added on top, and the price list says that fee varies by order type, single item or bundle. Heavy or bulky items and items with Item or Electronics Verification can't go in a bundle.

On the website the setting is Settings → Bundle discounts. You set a discount per item count, or "—" to skip a count. Pro sellers can sell bundles but, per help page 918, "cannot set any bundle discounts".

Set listings hold several items in one listing: "up to 5 items per listing", with the first photo showing all of them, and "the same item cannot be listed separately". The Catalogue Rules require a bundle label and one total price. More in Vinted listing rules.

Vinted's updated Terms take effect on 5 October 2026 (Germany, France) and 8 October 2026 (UK, Poland); press reports the Buyer Protection fee becoming the "Vinted fee". See Vinted fees.

Lots on OLX and Allegro Lokalnie

OLX. The Terms (27 April 2026) require every listing to state whether it is a single item, multiple units or a set. In free and limited categories, ending a listing and adding the same item again within 14 days counts as a duplicate. The Terms don't cover splitting a set into singles, so wait 14 days. Limits are in the OLX reselling guide.

Allegro Lokalnie charges 7.9% of item value on Kup teraz and auctions (4.9% in Elektronika), 0 zł on local listings. Only regular accounts can sell.

Example: eight kids' items bought at 6 zł each, sold as one Kup teraz lot. Break-even is 48 zł ÷ 0.921 = 52.12 zł, so don't go below 53 zł before packaging.

Using lots to clear slow stock

Make a lot only after an item has sat at its floor for a full review period, as in when to lower your price.

  • Price from what you paid, not old asking prices
  • Group by size, category or brand
  • Keep strong items out

On a personal Vinted account, Vinted's commercial-selling page lists bulk-bought low-value goods and identical or similar items in several colours or sizes as commercial signals. Exits beyond lots are in how to liquidate unsold inventory; the whole method is in the resale pricing guide.

Frequently asked questions

What bundle discount should I set on Vinted?
Work it out from your own stock, not from another seller's settings. Compare the full prices of items buyers often combine with their fast-sell prices; that gap is the most to give on fresh stock. Vinted lets you choose "—" for any item count, so discount only the counts where the maths holds.
Are lots a good way to clear dead stock?
Yes, when each piece is worth less alone than the effort of listing, packing and posting it. A lot turns several stalled listings into one sale and one parcel. Expect it to recover cost rather than profit, and price it from what you paid, not from old asking prices.
How do I set a price floor for each item in a bundle?
Add what you paid, any cleaning or repair cost and the smallest profit you accept for that item. Where the marketplace takes a percentage, divide by one minus the rate. Note the number in your records; a bundle works only if its price covers the sum of floors plus packaging.
